How To Connect With Your Kids Better!

At one point in life we all suffer from this problem where our kids don’t want to hang out with us or are embarresed of us. How do we deal with it? How do get them to connect with us or open to us? After all we are their parents and we can protect them.

If you are suffering with these issues in your life then read on as we tell you about different ways that you can have your kid open upto and learn to connect with you.

Let them know you love them

Letting your kids know that you love them can be a bit tricky and sometimes come off as smothering. The key is to not repeatedly keep yelling that you love them but to show them. You can show them that you love them by showing special attention to what they do, what they like, what are their hobbies and what are there goals.

This lets the kids know that you are trying to reach out to them rather then a fake blue ‘love you’ here and there. Just complimenting them on something they didn’t know that you noticed can be great too. Small things like these can make a huge difference in your kids life.

Play Sports with them

Usually they won’t like it but every now and then play sports with them to let them know that they are deserving of your time and during this time talk with them.

I know it might seem weird if your kid is a skateboarder but don’t worry or if you are worried that they will injure themselves then you have nothing to worry about.

Even if they like skateboarding and you can’t join them, learn about it.. things like what are the best skateboard trucks and decks. Then sit with him and share talks about his favorite sports with him.

I am sure he is going to love it.

Right now lets work on these two and I will post more next week .

How You Can Get Your Kids Into Skateboarding!

Skateboarding and skateboards are usually associated with dangerous tricks and hurt that parents don’t want to see there kids go through but is actually the case and why should you get your kids into the sport of skateboarding. Before I tell you the benefits of skateboarding as a concerned parent it is right for you to be scare but I ask you not to judge it before you have given it a fair try.

What is Skateboarding?

Skateboards are made of wood planks held together by trucks and provided movement by wheels. Yes there is an entire sport out there that involves risky jumps and stunts which can lead to serious injuries but everyday more and more people are getting into this sport to not to do stunts or tricks but instead to use skateboards for its various benefits and that it provides.

You might be shocked that skateboarding can do that but yes it is possible and we are going to tell you about all the benefits of skateboarding so you can be sure that there is nothing wrong with getting your kids involved in it.

Benefits of Skateboarding

skateboarding to classes

Firstly it is very taxing on the body and not in an injurious way but in an fitness way. The way we tend to workout later on in our lives, kids can get into that level of fitness without working out just by skating. You know the term skaters body right? All you need to do is get them in the habit of being fitness centered so they can develop there bodies in the right manner.

For example a lot of kids hate to work out or do any kind of exercise, especially nowadays when all the entertainment they need can be provided to them on a screen. Since Skateboarding is fun, it is easy for them to get into and maintain. Just get them a good skateboard with best skatepark wheels and they are good to go.

Secondly it teaches them the importance of balance and posture. We all know that a good posture is a sign of good health and provides ample confidence. The posture that they won’t be able to have if they are sitting slouched infront of there ps4 or computers.

It is tough to balance on skateboards and to keep that balance for long periods of time but it is possible and it is always a good idea to have that habit embedded when young.

These 2 benefits are far more important today then it was ever before and it is vital that they understand the importance of fitness and rather then have to bear it they learn to enjoy it.

How to Make a Boat Out of a Milk Carton

Are you looking for milk carton craft ideas? Or, perhaps, boat projects for kids for the warm (*cough* really hot *cough*) summer months? Well, this is a great way to recycle a milk carton. You can even use a dairy-free milk carton, if you so choose. I used an almond milk carton.

As you will see in the video, I think it would have been better if I cut in half the other way, so the boat has a better point to it. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me at the time. Sometimes, I miss the obvious. Whoops!
